What should we do about Inaros?

Inaros is nothing more than a stat stick with his innately-high effective health. That used to mean a lot more in the past than it does now, especially with shield gating and all of that. It's fun to exploit Hunter's Adrenaline and Gladiator mods etc. but it's so outclassed at this point. Desiccation is his one good ability but even the CC+finisher damage is never preferrable over spamming Peacemaker or Whipclaw. He had the exclusive niche revival mecanic which was garbage in the first place and now there's Nidus/Sevagoth who can revive more reliably. No hate because I used to consider myself an Inaros one-trick but his playstyle is not only mundane to begin with but is now subpar as well and is in serious need of changes.

But what changes should be made to Inaros then? Should they fix his abilities to give him actual meta relevance (crit damage, better revive mechanic, radial CC, damage multipliers)? Or, should DE capitalize on the health pool/no shield that made him appealing in the first place? I find myself leaning towards the latter; he still has the niche of innate tankiness independent from nullification that he's had since his release, and that's truly what I feel is what his capabilities should revolve around. A scaling augment or ability (+max crit damage and/or max health on finisher kills?) would unlock his potential in late endurance in steel path, which would be fun. On the contrary, maybe they could give him a better revival mechanic than what Nidus has. I'm just curious to know what other players feel about Inaros because he's remained as a very distinctive warframe with unique mechanics that have been outdated for a long time now.

How would you change Pets?

I am sure this has been posted before, but I am curious.

I know that getting the right kind of cat or Kubrow can feel like playing slots. How would you change it?

or the survivability of cats, like the smeeta, make farming into a weird game of protect the cat and not really farming. What would you do different?

Personally I think the deimos pets were a good step in the right direction. mainly the panzer with its Panzer Devolution mod. But at the same time it feels a little overkill on the survivability.

Is there any easy tip to change focus school?

Some time ago I made the second dream quest, unfortunately at that time I had no idea which focus school was the best option to early on at that stage of the game. I've recently found out I should have choose the zenurik focus school, instead I've choose Naramon. Is there any way to choose/be able to get Zenurik focus?

Are there any funky-but-useful things you can use Baro's Primed Clip Capacity mods for?

I know there's like, dumping you whole clip with angstrum but beyond that...

[NAE][PC][LFC] Tzuloo

I am Tzuloo, 25 year old, mr8, new to the game. I am looking for a clan willing to teach and use discord. I am a quadriplegic so my disability makes typing very difficult so talking is preferable, but I have a breathing machine called a ventilator so my voice is strange. I really want the Felarx to work so badly, but it's just so resistant to being useable, let alone good

as a friend of mine put it, a gun that feels this good has no excuse being this awful.

I really want to make this thing work, there is so much potential but without feeding it as much forma as a sister/lich weapon it's just so lackluster. the weapon feels like it fights you every step of the way to make it even useable with it's evolution system, and even then fully evolved it feels... off, usable but like i have to sacrifice my entire month's supply of forma just to get more than bare minimum out of it.

And i find it's mostly due to it's secondary form, the primary shotgun form is passable, nothing special but fairly easy to make useable with a couple of mods, but the secondary form which is the main draw just feels so lackluster. It loses its punch through, good fire rate, slash damage, ,overall damage, and crit chance for lackluster pistols that barely have any status chance. It really blows as the primary fire while not terrible feels like it's meant to set up these pistols and the pistols are such a let down.

And i get it, not every weapon is going to be meta or viable, but it needs to at least feel viable against level 50 enemies without feeding a month's worth of forma, and if the weapon has a gimmick i expect the gimmick to not come at the cost of primary mode or main fire's viability...

It's a shame.... even if the other weapons aren't spectacular they at least feel like they're worth investing in..

Toroid farming is going to make me lose my darn mind. can I get any advice?

Basically farming these damn things is really frustrating me. I am trying to rank one with Vox Solaris and I can't get these things to drop for the life of me. 4 hours of farming all 3 locations and I've gotten just enough to get 5k standing and I need the highest tier toroid to rank up.

I've gone into all 3 places fought inside and out. Letting the alert get to rank 4 before I start just killing everything. And nothing. I fought outside the Temple of Profit for so long that all the enemies were like Level 80+ and I ran out of ammo for everything. Still only got one Sola toroid. I fought as long as I could but even my tankiest frame(Chroma)I was beginning to get my ass kicked.

I dont have Nekros yet, trying to get him but Lephantis refuses to drop his Neuroptics and seems to love giving me his Chassis(I've got 13, and 7 of the systems).

Focus Rework

An original title I know. I'm late to the game thanks to getting busy with my job and my flagging interest in Warframe. I played the New War. Best shit I've ever seen. I'm not a long time player, I played right before The Sacrifice came out. But after playing the new war, getting a taste of THAT. I had trouble going back into the old ways of doing things. Especially considering that the sentient threat didn't feel abolished to me. Things barely changed ya know? I digress however.

Fast forward six months and I log in and see that the focus schools had been changed. I had been given free radiant eidolon shards. I was flustered. I hadnt heard anything about this. So I head back I've to check em out. And I am absolutely floored. Th3 biggest shock to me is my always go to choice. Unairu.

Unairu is the school as most you might know that focuses on outlasting the enemy. More survivability in terms of armour and other survivability. But I come back and the changes I see have me absolutely happy. The first one that grab my attention right away was the ability to call my warframe to me upon death. With 4 seconds of invulnerability at max rank. The next thing that caught my attention was the ability to completely resist and clear transference static when bringing my warframe to me by killing an enemy within 4 seconds.

Then you have the ability to revive your warframe....I just, I love this school so much. I can strip armour (80% rn) I can nullify shields, I just...this has made me so happy. I'm so glad I can actually play the school I fell in love with and do something. I didn't like using zenurik at all. Even for the energy as my main is nidus. On health damage I vet energy. But unairu fell short. Now it doesnt.

What Max Ranks think about You

Ever wonder what one of those max rank nutjobs thinks about you in a mission?

Mastery Level 0 - Hackles raised. Extreme uncomfortability, like seeing the outline of a colt 45 holstered on the hip of a nun. There must be a story there. What? Why? How? How are you on the Kuva Fortress as a wisp with like 100 hp, my guy?

Mastery Level 1 to 5 - Like a National Geographic photographer trying not to scare away a rare squid by acknowledging it. Already mentally adopted him, given him a nickname, and already under an unspoken vow to clap anyone that incapacitates the squishy.

Mastery Level 6 - Medium berth. The player can most likely dodge bullets now, but get Takeshi's-Castled by eximus fire strikes and poison clouds. They probably have weapons held together by duct-tape and determination. They give you a wide berth in return. Would rather burn a life rather than get resurrected just to not inconvenience others. (they never are inconveniencing others)

Mastery 7 to 8 - They are in the middle of self discovery. The weapons they carry are not killing enemies as fast as they used to. They are perceptive, looking to their surroundings John Wick at a pencil collector emporium. Most don't make it past this milestone. Many people leave them to their own devices- so they don't get attached - they could be gone by the evening.

Mastery 9 to 11 - They have a weapon by now and a hatred of kuva lich damage mitigation. Like the bristles of a porcupine growing solid, they can usually deal more damage than they can take.

Mastery 12 to 14 - The Tenno has evolved out of necessity, They most likely have a Wisp or a Nidus with a full complement of mods for a Ignis Wraith. They are walking skeletons. Danger without beauty. Power without individuality. A respectable ally nonetheless.
Alternatively - They found their one and only playstyle on the first try. Specialists.

Mastery 15 to 18 - Flares of individuality are starting to form. Muscles and skin take place of the skeleton, but the skeleton will push back against anything that can't be handled otherwise. More build diversity, more dakka and less lacka.

Mastery 19 to 25 - Another face in the crowd - Clan Leaders, Writers, Fan Artists, Youtubers, Endurance Runners, Specialists - the bundle of ranks is the normal and encompasses everything and everyone. A playstyle has established. Roots of preference hold sway over suggestions given. Dangerous imposition of meta ideals upon others present.

Mastery 26 - 29 - Specialized Theory-Crafters, Excel Spreadsheet enthusiasts, Nova waifu believers, and the start of the descent into madness.

Mastery 30 - The pragmatic completionist - The dogged and tired soul who reaches the final rank as measured by the end of benefits being able to be granted to those around them. Rightfully so. Givers of Relay blessings freely. Helpers of anyone needing to shoot Vay Hek in the faceplate out of age old spite.

Mastery Overflow 1 - Eldrich mass of bone and gristle. Moves through missions without a word. Has at least 5 different methods to break Shadow Stalker's neck, the last of which being a well timed bullet-jump. Unconventional in approach. They make others uncomfortable by bringing unusual frames and weapons that aren't good until you examine a multiplicative damage scaling on page 509 ofThe Document.

Mastery Overflow 2 - Speaks in zalgo, cockiness, memes, or not at all. At least one of them are extremely bitter about TWITCH DROPS NOT GIVING THEM THE LAST BLOODY WEAPON ON THE LIST TO UNLOCK TO BEAT THIS DAMN GAME. WHO CONTENT LOCKS BEHIND A BLOODY TWITCH DROP?! We all hate eachother up here. Leave me to my opinion island.

New to Warframe (currently MR6) and I'm getting my ass handed to me in this part of The New Strange, the issue is it takes way too long for me to kill mobs, I upgraded a corpus damage+ and cryo mod to put on Tetra but it still takes 1-2 entire clips for each mob, I'd really appreciate some advice.

1/2 post. i made my friend that introduced me to Warframe an irl Ordis and an in style card. the stand is 3d printed and designed by my bf, the acrylic plates were lasercut by him aswell and glued with acetone by me. i put in a light in the stand and made the ordis on a thin piece of clear plastic.

The Satisfaction of Modding Correctly

As I sit here deciding between farming Narmer bounties and railjack, two masochistic gameplay modes - I wonder what keeps me coming back to this game.

Then I start theorycrafting the most efficient builds I can think of to make these modes as painless as possible, and then I remember.

It's so paradoxical and kind of cathartic in a sense - the very thing that the devs seem to keep fighting against is the thing that keeps vets coming back.

Maybe they realize the health of their game depends on their players ability to healthily break it with math and science, so they develop game modes that break what we've spent time figuring out how to break - which causes hiatuses in the playerbase. Who wants to relearn how to break something properly again? Melee 2.0 > 3.0, railjack, and the lich system are good examples of thus.

Conspiracy theory I know but hey 🕳

Anyways I say all this to say

Very few game experiences out there right now can match the feeling I get when I start a mission up after a few modding session and get that first kill that screams so elegantly:

"AYO THIS SHIT WORKS IM BOUT TO GO CRAZY"

Ahh yes. Reminds me of being a kid in a sandbox.
