I'm looking for MR5 weapon recommendations and general advice.

Hello, there!

I started playing Warframe last week and have sunk an admittedly irresponsible amount of time into it. I just finished Saturn and at this point I feel pretty confident in my abilities. I've leveled all the MK1 weapons to 30 and, now that those are out of the way, I've found a few others that I can rely on while leveling whatever else. I mainly use Frost as my frame, but I bust out Excalibur every once in a while to deal with the absolute nonsense that are Junction bosses.

I know that I should be crafting, leveling and selling basically everything I come across for mastery, while buying slots for the weapons and frames that I want to keep, but holy Hel does leveling guns suck. I understand that the game is imbalanced in favour of melee, but guns feel REALLY bloody weak and the difference between lvl 1 and lvl 30, unmodded and modded, is laughable. Do you b'ys have any MR5 weapon recommendations with regards to stuff that won't feel like a nerf gun when wielded?

Otherwise, I'll gladly take any advice. I've read through most of the megathread, but the game throws SO MUCH at me that it's hard to know what is and what isn't a n00b trap. I burnt myself out a little bit trying to catch up on Nightwave, but the catch up mechanics weren't very beginner-friendly and now the whole thing is over, so I settled down and am just vibing through the missions. I still want to play smart, though, so I'm all ears (eyes?).
