New player looking to switch from Destiny

Hey all,

So, I started playing Destiny 2 a little over than a month ago and have just 90 hours in it, I really liked it at the begginning until later on I realised that everything you do in game feels the same and it got boring real quick. The only reason I didn't quit earlier is because I bought all the DLC and so did my friend (he started playing with me when I offered him to so I just dont want to quit because he earns his money hard way and he wouldnt play without me) so I decided to play both destiny and warframe, warframe solo and destiny with my friend. Before I even start making a char in warframe here are a few questions

Is this game P2W? do you need to spend money to access any type of content? is it crossplay and if it is and I play on pc with controller will I be matched with controller players in pvp? is the learning curve similar/harder/easier to destinys 2 new player experience?
