gotta let off a little steam because im petty

To preface ive had a long day, im tired, this has gotten to me more than it would have any other day.

Generally speaking this game has one of the most sincere, helpful and genuine communities i have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. But there are some outliers with the Destiny 2 raid crusader god complex that really just seep any and all fun I have playing this game.

Im pretty new, MR7, just completed the sacrifice quest. I joined a clan hoping to meet some new friends and maybe help me do some content such as eidolon hunts which I cant yet comfortably handle myself.

I made a joke saying that doing the sacrifice quest was the scariest thing I've done in my life as the mote amp is so terrible, and if you've played the quest you'll know why. I got a nice enough reaction, until I elaborated saying how bad the mote amp is, and that it should get a buff, this single handedly unleashed the wrath of the biggest members of the clan, I was ridiculed for my inexperience and lack of knowledge, met with the ye old get gud. I had suggested that the reason I thought it should be buffed was because aside from a myriad of reasons, the gateway to a better amp is eidolon hunts, and well, mote amp, I dont need to elaborate.

I was then bombarded with claims that eidolon hunts are not required as I hyperbolicaly claimed they were a core pillar of game play. Arguing that at my position its the best place to gain focus and level operator, get new amps, and unlock really good arcanes such as magus elevate. I was beaten down in bouts of condescension that eidolon hunts are completely ignorable, and not necessary.

The whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way, im not the best at this game, I dont claim to be. I was just trying to make conversation outside of matchmade squads, yet I got absolutely squashed. This isn't supposed to be super serious, I just had to vent as it was the straw that broke the cammels back and I cant imagine explaining this anywhere else and hoping to be taken even a little seriously lmao.
